About Gwinnett County Criminal History

Gwinnett County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff, the Clerk of Superior, State and Magistrate Courts, Gwinnett County Police, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center. The Georgia Department of Corrections and Georgia Sex Offender Registry hold separate statewide records. This site organizes those official routes so readers can identify the office, portal, address, or phone number that fits the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Georgia provides several forms of public access, but no single Gwinnett search produces every part of a criminal history. The Sheriff maintains jail and booking information at its University Parkway campus. The Clerk keeps charges, docket events, dispositions, and court copies at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville. Gwinnett County Police handles its incident reports and offers consent-based Georgia histories, while the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center maintains the statewide repository. This site brings the verified request routes, fees, contacts, and official portals into one reference.

  • Record restriction help: where Georgia restriction and related court-file sealing requests begin

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Georgia court, the Gwinnett County Sheriff, Gwinnett County Police, or any state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file record-restriction petitions, open-records requests, or other paperwork for you
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the office that maintains a record, such as the Gwinnett Clerk, Sheriff, Police, or GCIC, can provide its official copy.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. They operate their own services, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this site. We do not set the provider's charges or decide which information it returns.
